How organizations use these tools

The diagnostic toolkit is designed to be self-directed, but organizations use it in structured ways to support specific development goals. Here are the most common scenarios.

1
Leadership team diagnostic before a strategy retreat or offsite
Leadership teams each complete relevant assessments independently before a strategic planning session. The results surface where leaders disagree on the organization's current state, where genuine gaps exist versus perception gaps, and which strategic issues are organizational rather than strategic in origin. The data makes the conversation more honest and more productive.
Recommended: Strategic Clarity Index, Execution Effectiveness Index, Organizational Alignment Index
2
Pre- and post-measurement for a leadership development program
Organizations running leadership development programs use the individual tools as baseline assessments before the program begins. Participants retake the same tools at the end of the program or at a 90-day follow-up. The platform's built-in progress comparison shows exactly what has changed and what has not, giving program sponsors concrete evidence of development impact.
Recommended: Virtuous Leadership Profile, Leadership Capability Maturity Profile, Manager Effectiveness Index
3
Culture assessment before a change initiative
Before launching a major change initiative, organizations use the diagnostic tools to understand whether the cultural and execution conditions for success actually exist. Leadership teams and managers complete the tools and review the results together, identifying the organizational gaps that need to be addressed before the change can succeed, rather than discovering them after the initiative has stalled.
Recommended: Culture to Performance Index, Change Readiness Index, Execution Effectiveness Index
4
Team effectiveness diagnostics
Teams complete the team-focused tools and review results together in a facilitated session. The combination of individual scores and group discussion surfaces the gaps between how different team members experience the team, identifies the specific behaviors and dynamics limiting performance, and creates shared accountability for what needs to change.
Recommended: Team Dynamics Indicator, Psychological Safety Index, Culture to Performance Index
5
New manager onboarding baseline
Organizations use the individual leadership tools as part of new manager onboarding, establishing a development baseline before the first 90 days begin. Managers retake the assessments at 90-day intervals, creating a structured development conversation grounded in data rather than general impressions.
Recommended: Manager Effectiveness Index, Personal Effectiveness Index, Emotional Intelligence and Resilience Profile
6
Succession planning and talent development
HR leaders and senior executives use the organizational and individual tools as inputs to succession planning and talent development conversations. The assessments provide a consistent framework for evaluating development needs across multiple candidates and identifying the specific gaps that need to close before someone is ready for a larger role.
Recommended: Leadership Capability Maturity Profile, Talent Development and Succession Readiness Index, Strategic Thinking Profile

How it works

From assessment to action

The tools are designed to be self-directed, but work equally well as part of a structured organizational program.

1
Identify the right tools for your context
Use the free Organizational Performance Assessment as a starting point, or browse the full toolkit to select the tools that address your specific development goals. The toolkit covers individual, team, and organizational dimensions, and tools can be used independently or in combination.
2
Create accounts and distribute tool access
Participants create free accounts and access the tools they have been assigned. Tools are purchased once and accessed individually, or you can contact us to discuss licensing arrangements for cohort-based use.
3
Each participant completes their assessment
Assessments take 15 to 25 minutes. Before answering, participants predict their own scores. After completing the assessment, they see their actual results compared to their predictions. The gap between predicted and actual scores is often the most valuable output of the exercise.
4
Review results individually and as a group
Each participant receives a scored results page and a downloadable PDF report. Results identify the two priority development areas and provide specific recommendations for each. Groups review results together to identify shared gaps, surface disagreements about organizational state, and build shared accountability for development priorities.
5
Retake and measure progress
After a period of development work, participants retake the same tools. The platform automatically surfaces a side-by-side comparison showing what has changed and what has not at both the overall and domain level. This gives program sponsors concrete evidence of development impact without requiring additional infrastructure.

Organizational and volume licensing available. For organizations that need to assign tools to cohorts of employees or team members, licensing arrangements are available. Submit a licensing request or contact us to discuss what works for your context.

For organizations and teams
Your managers see the whole picture. Not just their own results.

Organizational licensing gives managers and administrators their own dashboard alongside each participant’s individual access. Assign tools across a team or cohort, monitor who has completed what, and view results without asking anyone to email you a report.

Cohort-level visibility. See completion rates and results across your entire group – not just individual snapshots.
No report-chasing. Results are available in the dashboard the moment a participant completes an assessment.
Retake tracking built in. When participants retake a tool after development work, you see the change over time alongside them.
